music for the moment
Matt Frazão played guitar in a way that only he can. With pedals for days and the hands to back it up, Frazão stoically broke the ensemble apart during his solos and then brought it back to a frenzied fever pitch as his improvisations went from inconceivable to simply badass.
A subtle but stunning talent who’d fade into the background for a few minutes at a time, and then burst out a virtuosic, beautifully lyrical solo or jazzy flourish that was from outside of this world.
A jaw-dropping display of musicianship
[Frazão’s] frankensteined sound builds a summer home in an area previously thought uninhabitable, and that requires a broad skillset.
